Keystone Real Estate

In the 1940s, two men had a dream of creating an international ski area in Summit County that would introduce people to the thrill of skiing down the exhilarating peaks of the Rocky Mountains. The work of these visionaries, coupled with surrounding development, resulted in the founding of Keystone. This mountain resort community provides residents with countless possibilities all year round.

Keystone Resort, and its nearby villages of River Run and Lakeside, has grown since their humble beginning to offer such amenities as 20 lifts, two gondolas and five high-speed quads covering more than 2,800 acres. Downhill skiers, snowboarders, ice skaters, cross-country skiers and other winter sport enthusiasts at every level can find a route that puts their true skills to the test. Summer gives a whole new set of reasons to love Keystone. The River Course at Keystone and Keystone Ranch Golf Course are both 18-hole championship courses that compliment the surrounding landscape while offering a challenging round. Other attractions such as hiking and mountain biking trails, riding stables and a recreation center provide other outlets for getting outside and getting involved.

For those residents and visitors who prefer a more relaxing pace, the village is a nice alternative to the slopes. Shopping, dining and service opportunities abound. Whether you spend one week or 52 weeks in Keystone, there is something to appeal to everyone. Some annual events that draw crowds to Keystone include the Mardi Gras Celebration, River Run at Keystone Blues and BBQ Festival, World Music Festival, Bluegrass & Beer Fest and the Wine Jazz & Art Festival.

Kids living in Keystone receive a quality education attending Summit School District schools, which promotes an environment encouraging children to reach their full potential. When school is out and homework is finished, an ice rink and the “Youth Zone,” which has an arcade, food vendors and lift access, are great places to meet friends. ” Family, friends, and fun—that’s what Keystone has always been about.”  Family friendly activities are a huge part of Keystone.  The kid’s activities in Keystone surpass many of the surrounding towns, referred to as “Kidtopia Play Park.”

Keystone real estate is divided roughly into five neighborhoods – East Keystone, River Run, The Mountain House, Lakeside Village and West Keystone. Affordable and luxury homes, cabins with mountain views, golf homes, condos and more is available in the Keystone real estate market.
