Frisco Real Estate

Nestled along the southern shores of Dillon Reservoir east of Interstate 70 is the charming historic town of Frisco. From its history as a booming mining town, to its decline during the Depression and beyond, Frisco has persevered to become what many visitors have discovered as their home of a lifetime. Unlike many communities in the region that are known essentially for their skiing, Frisco’s proximity to Dillon Reservoir provides some unique recreational opportunities.

Dillon Reservoir is the largest water storage facility in the Denver Water system with more than 2,300 acres of water surface and nearly 27 miles of shoreline. Frisco Bay Marina offers residents the option to enjoy boating, fishing, canoeing, sailboarding, camping, hiking and bicycle trails. The Peninsula Recreation Area provides such facilities as a multi-purpose field, disc golf course, picnic shelters, campgrounds, skateboard park and a widespread trail system. The Peninsula also hosts the Frisco Nordic Center during the winter to provide residents with trails for skating, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Frisco has a history that reaches back to the late 1800s, and conservation efforts are evident. In addition to a historical park, residents take credit for preserving 11 historic buildings including an old schoolhouse that currently serves as a museum. Other structures offer their charm to a number of local shops and businesses that line Main Street. Living in Frisco is never boring and the variety of special activities is proof. Founder’s Day Weekend, Colorado BBQ Challenge, Gold Rush Weekend, Tubbs Romp & Stomp Out Breast Cancer Weekend, May 31–Marina Season Opener, Run The Rockies, Canine 4K, the Autumn Spectacular begins with Fall Fest and Oktoberfest are just a few of the events hosted annually that celebrates history and a sense of community.

Frisco real estate includes the county’s largest in-town residential neighborhoods, most of which are within walking distance of downtown. Whether it is a luxury home, townhome, condo or land, Frisco offers a wide selection of properties to fit every lifestyle. The experienced professionals at Slifer Smith and Frampton Real Estate are awaiting your call to begin the home buying or selling process for you in Frisco, Colorado.
