Copper Mountain Real Estate

Once only a winter destination for the dedicated skier, Copper Mountain has transformed into a year-round resort community with endless recreational activities and an emphasis on quality of life. Nestled in a canyon along Interstate 70 between Frisco and Vail, are several villages, which make up this former mining area, offering all the comforts of a bustling city while upholding the traditions of a close-knit small town.

The Copper Mountain real estate in the Village at Copper, Union Creek and East Village each provide their own unique features but all are within an easy walk to and from the lifts. More than 2,400 acres greet skiers and snowboarders who are itching to enjoy the exhilarating rush of carving down the mountain. Skiing may be a favorite activity for many of the residents, but they enjoy other winter sports as well. Copper Mountain real estate is a draw for many wishing to be close to Vail and Summit County.  Copper Mountain attracts some of the region’s best athletes for a number of high-profile competitions including the USASA Nationals, U.S. Snowboarding Revolution Tour, Copper Series-Superpipe/SlopeStyle, USSA Revolution Tour, US Freeskiing Open and the Colorado Special Olympics Winter Games.

Winter isn’t the only time for residents to enjoy the mountainous terrain of Copper Mountain real estate. Warmer months persuade people to hike, bike, fish, and golf at Copper Creek. Other activities include rafting and hot air balloon rides available in neighboring villages and soaking in the Genuine Jazz and Wine Festival. For family-friendly activities, the community also hosts Colorado’s largest Easter Egg Hunt and En Fuego, a regular bonfire celebration with street performers, a torchlight parade and fireworks display.

Copper Mountain’s charming blend of historic ambiance and diverse citizenship draws many new visitors each year who resolve to make Copper Mountain their home. Children also reap the benefits of this friendly community by receiving an excellent education courtesy of the Summit School District.

Copper Mountain real estate provides an array of housing options – from a luxury home with splendid mountain views to a condo steps from a nearest ski lift. Land is also available for the Copper Mountain real estate buyer who is looking to build their dream home.
