Estates of Colorado is located south of Hartsel, Colorado which was founded in 1870. The namesake of the community was Samuel Hartsel, a local cattle rancher who came to Park County in 1860 and left in 1908. This vast land is located between Highway 9 and Highway 24. Estates of Colorado is located east of Antero Reservoir which is scheduled to be drained.
If fishing is of interest you can go east to Spinney Mountain State Park or Eleven Mile Reservoir. Spinney Mountain is a 2500 surface-acre reservoir offering anglers Gold Medal opportunities for shoreline, fly fishing, belly boating or trolling in a peaceful, scenic setting with views of the Collegiates as a backdrop. Eleven Mile is open year-round, offering spectacular Rocky Mountain sunsets and plenty of room to breathe. Visitors may choose from a variety of campsites at Eleven Mile State Park’s 348 site facility.
The closest restaurants to the area is the Highline Cafe and Saloon and Dorothy’s Homemade Tamales. If you are looking for something different, you will have to venture to Fairplay, Colorado and may we recommend Gatsby’s located in the Historic Fairplay Hotel. Have a couple cocktails and stay the night at the Fairplay Hotel.
Estates of Colorado consists of single family home and vacant land. Estates of Colorado is mostly undeveloped land with amazing views of the surrounding and distant mountains. One of the smallest parcels in Estates of Colorado is 2 acres and one of the largest parcels is 320 acres.
