Breckenridge July 4th Schedule of Activities
The Breckenridge July 4th Schedule of Events are sure to please all ages. There is something for everyone.
Independence Day 10K Trail Run – This scenic 10k trail running race offers up some of the best views in the Breckenridge area, while finishing just in time to catch the Main Street parade and other festivities. 7:00 a.m. Register at www.townofbreckenridge.com or call 970.453.1734. Registration is still open.
The Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race – This mountain bike race launches the 4th of July Parade in front of thousands of spectators. Come cheer on riders as they embark on a 50 mile journey on the beautiful trails in and surrounding the Breckenridge area. Register early as this race fills up very quickly. Race will take place on Mains Street starting at 9:30am. For more information www.mavsports.com – registration is till open.
Fourth of July Garden Party – Breckenridge July 4th Schedule shall also include the annual Breckenridge Heritage Alliance Garden Party at the Barney Ford House Museum. Enjoy coffee, mimosas, and breakfast spread as you watch the Breckenridge Fourth of July parade in style from the best view on Main Street. 9:00 a.m. Cost Advance ticket prices – Adults $50 ($75 day of), Children 12-6 $30 and Childrend 5 & under $10. Main Street Parade – The official parade will start at 10am with the Red, White and Blue Color Guard. Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race will start the parade at 9:30am & it will take 800+ riders ½ hour to get down Main Streets in waves. Parade registration please call 970-453-5055. Reading of the Declaration of Independence by George Washington (C.J. Muller) – Following the parade in the Blue River Plaza.
Kids’Water Fight – Kids’ can join the Red, White & Blue Fire Dept. in an old time water fight on Main Street. Free for kids to participate. A hit every year. 1pm – 3pm.
Viper ‘Show and Shine’ – Vipers will be parked on Main Street allowing spectators to view the cars. 12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Free Pony Rides – Main Street in front of Blue River Plaza compliments of Farview Horse Rescue.
Street Arts Festival – Presented by Breckenridge Creative Arts. A street celebration, with graffiti pavement art, chalk drawings, live msic and hands -on workshoops at the Breckenridge Arts District campus.
Free Concert – Breckenridge July 4th Schedule gets even better with this free concert. The Riverwalk Center will be having a great band this year, Funkiphino which is pronounced “Funk-If-I-Know”. We anticipate happy, dancing crowds! 2pm-4pm at the Riverwalk Center free – no tickets needed please no dogs or other pets on the Riverwalk Center lawn. National Repertory Orchestra: 4th of July Patriotic Concert 8:30pm – For almost 20 years, the Town of Breckenridge and National Repertory Orchestra (NRO) have collaborated to present a Patriotic Concert each July 4th at the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge, CO. In order to prevent numerous empty seats seen each year due to unused free tickets and in order to offer tickets online at a greater convenience to all of our guests, this year the Riverwalk Center Box Office will sell indoor reserved seat tickets.
4th of July tickets will be on sale June 27 at 12pm. The best way to buy is ONLINE. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Riverwalk Center Ticket Office or by phone 970-547-3100 (Note: the Ticket Office will not be able to handle phone calls until the people waiting in line at the Riverwalk Center are taken care of first.)
Fireworks – 9:45 p.m (weather permitting) A brilliant and dazzling fireworks display is slated to begin at 9:45pm and will be launched near the Gondola lots, making them visible throughout town. At 9:15pm, N Park Avenue will be closed for public safety and will re-open at approximately 11:00pm. Public access to the Gondola lots/Watson Avenue will still be available from Main Street.
